1972 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE

First up, we’ve got the 1972 Mercedes-Benz 280 SE which Justin bought in gold for $5,000. The car was not new, nonetheless, it didn’t put him out of pocket and for a used car, that’s a pretty reasonable price. 

Mercedes-Benz has sold a plethora of cars under the 280 model, they were produced across 35 years from 1959 to 1994. Justin’s 1972 saloon was released as part of the second generation of the 280 model and 11,000 of them were manufactured between 1971 and 1972.

The 6 cylinder, 2.8 liter engine is powered by a manual 4-speed gearbox with the top speed standing at 118mph. 

1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL

After his 2005 wedding to Sophie Grégoire, reports show that the couple were spotted riding off into the sunset in Justin’s father’s 1960 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL which he had inherited. Reports from Automotor Sport show that the  motor was voted sports car of the century in 1999.

The car itself is pretty rare to find nowadays as you’ll only find 241 of the 1960 models left on the roadside because this is how many were originally produced. SL is the abbreviated form of “super-light” in German. 

Lexus Hybrid

Justin is known to have rode around in a car from the Lexus Hybrid range in the past. Prices for the Lexus Hybrid start at $34,500 for the UX Hybrid and reach all the way up to $97,510 for the LC Hybrid. 

According to Lexus’ official site, the Hybrid combines an electric motor and a hybrid battery to provide “smooth, powerful performance and exhilarating acceleration, along with reduced fuel consumption and emissions.” They additionally describe themselves as being the “pioneer” in the development of self-charging electric cars. 

Audi Allroad Quattro

Production commenced for the Audi Allroad Quattro, inspired by the Audi A6, in 2009. 

The Allroad Quattro model has been manufactured since 1999, starting with the Audi A6 Allroad Quattro. One of the main differences between the A6 Allroad Quattro and the standard Allroad Quattro is the overall height of the car, the air suspension system and the track (the Allroad Quattro has wheel arch extensions). 

Audi’s 2021 A4 Allroad Quattro comes with a price tag of $45k or more, so these cars don’t come cheap. 

2008 Ford Escape Hybrid

Last on the list is Justin’s 2008 Ford Escape Hybrid. Can you tell he likes eco-friendly cars that produce low emissions? It was “the first hybrid SUV to enter the market” and allegedly it’s still the most fuel-efficient for 2008 according to Edmunds’ review of the car.

The vehicle is pretty affordable depending on its condition, it is worth between $1,504 and $3,900.
